It is an attitude about living during the latter
years of life. It is a philosophy that focuses on the positive
and rewarding qualities of being alive. It is a commitment to remaining
independent, preserving the ability for residents to make their
own choices and experiencing the excitement that comes from the
diversity and variety of social interaction. It is being intent
on finding ways for people to continue doing everything they enjoy
and value, rather than finding reasons why they cannot. It is a
long-range view, intent on preserving these choices and qualities
no matte what may change as the aging journey continues.
UrbanSenior
Living is committed to bringing families and friends together
more often. It offers a location that is a natural draw for children,
grandchildren and friends. Shopping, dining, recreation, lodging
and entertainment are right outside the door. There are numerous
incentives and rewards for visiting an urbanSenior resident.
Visits should become events that everyone will look forward to
on a regular basis.
It is good to be around people our own age,
with the many things we have in common. However, too much of
one thing is often not good. urbanSenior Living does not want
the youngest person in the building every week to be the mailman.
We do not want to see our people sitting in the senior dining
room, across from the same person, listening to the same stories
for years. We want to see our residents utilizing services, socializing
and participating in the activities of the community in the ways
they always have done in the past. It is important to have the
option of getting out and being a part of the world around us,
rather than having too much time alone. |

We don’t believe that life during its later
ages can be lived to its fullest on a “Corn Field,” in
a single family home or any other locations which is isolated from
the heart of the community. An exciting life cannot be recreated
in a self-contained building or on a self-contained campus. It
requires access to necessary services, people of all ages, and
as many choices of activity as possible. Over time this access
will undoubtedly be without the benefit of a car, therefore it
must be within three to four blocks to have any value.
In addition,
we believe that security, financial predictability, and the ability
to succeed in keeping our residents out of institutional settings,
such as assisted living and nursing homes, is one of our important
accomplishments.
Ultimately, urbanSenior Living should assure
aging with dignity, independence, financial security and a lot
more fun.
It is this attitude and philosophy that distinguished
urbanSenior Living from all other retirement living options.
We hope you will consider this philosophy carefully. If your
picture yourself living your life to the fullest for as long
as you can, we hope that you will look into urbanSenior Living.
We are sure you will find it to be a refreshing alternative to
any existing living arrangement you may currently have or to
any new project that you may have seen.
